Rideau Carleton Raceway

The Rideau Carleton raceway was opened in 1962 featuring harness racing which has a long tradition in Canada.

The facility was totally renovated and turned into a dual racing and state of the art gaming entertainment center with a slot machine space added in the year 2000.

A separate 250 seat bingo hall has been added recently with proceeds supporting 28 charities in Ottawa.

The addition of ultra-modern gaming facilities has increased the level of attendance at the raceway, supporting the industry and brought the pleasure of viewing competition harness racing to a much wider clientele.

A free hourly shuttle service courtesy of OLG operates from the local Greenboro transit station to the Rideau Carleton Entertainment Center and Raceway with full details on the website.

Rideau Carleton Raceway has plenty of free parking and has a separate family entrance on the south side of the building for families to attend special events and to dine on Sunday and Thursday in the superb 600 seat dining room overlooking the finishing line on the race track.

The grandstand has seating for 4,500 spectators with general admission free. The clubhouse has seating for 1,000 people with entry to the Clubhouse and seating in the Clubhouse free of charge.
